DESCRIPTION
Becoming a Digital Storyteller is a 4-week course designed to equip you to lead purposeful and impactful digital storytelling experiences with your students. You will explore the what, how and why of digital storytelling and become comfortable with new digital tools and methods like podcasting, blogging and creating videos. You will learn how to train your students to become citizen journalists.
Digital storytelling is a powerful way to transform students from passive consumers of online material to content creators and advocates. It's a way to use #techforgood and to prepare students for civic engagement as active global citizens. You can increase literacy skills and global competencies through the power of stories that engage your students with key global issues and forge connections with others in your local and global communities.

Each week in the course, you will engage in 1 hour of asynchronous learning and 1 hour of synchronous learning in a group Zoom session.
