We are so looking forward to welcoming many of you from across the region—and the globe—to the Twenty-Second EARCOS Teachers’ Conference, taking place from March 18 to 20 at the Shangri-La in Bangkok. Once again, the hotel will come alive with conversations among colleagues and friends, both new and familiar, as we gather to explore the many dimensions of teaching, learning, and well-being.

Guided by this year’s theme, “Teaching—From the Heart,” the conference celebrates the passion, compassion, and purpose that lie at the heart of education. It is an opportunity to reflect on the profound impact we have as educators, to share meaningful experiences, and to rediscover the joy of inspiring and empowering our students.

This year’s subject strands include Science, Math, Social Studies/Humanities, Global Issues/Global Citizenship, Service Learning, S.T.E.M., and General Education Topics. Through these diverse areas of learning, we hope to nurture thoughtful dialogue, encourage collaboration, and strengthen our shared commitment to teaching with heart and purpose.

Teaching— From the Heart

The EARCOS Teachers’ Conference brings together educators, teachers, and education professionals from across the EARCOS network and the global international school community. It is a meaningful opportunity to connect, collaborate, and reflect on the art and purpose of teaching, while celebrating the relationships and experiences that make education transformative.

Guided by this year’s theme, “Teaching—From the Heart,” the conference celebrates the passion, compassion, and dedication that educators bring to their classrooms every day. It invites participants to explore how teaching goes beyond the delivery of knowledge—it is about inspiring curiosity, nurturing potential, building meaningful relationships, and making a lasting difference in the lives of students.

Through inspiring keynotes, engaging presentations, and collaborative sessions across a diverse range of subject strands, participants will exchange ideas, share best practices, and discover new approaches to teaching and learning. From Science, Math, and S.T.E.M. to Global Citizenship, Service Learning, and General Education Topics, the conference offers opportunities to deepen professional practice while fostering a shared commitment to student well-being and success.

Engaging strategies to develop students’ mathematical thinking, problem-solving, and reasoning skills while fostering confidence, creativity, and a deeper appreciation for the role of mathematics in everyday life.

Humanities

Approaches to deepen students’ understanding of history, culture, society, and global perspectives while fostering critical thinking, empathy, and active citizenship in an interconnected world.

Global Issues
Global Citizenship

Ways to engage students in understanding global challenges, diverse perspectives, and interconnected communities while fostering empathy, critical thinking, and a commitment to creating a more just, sustainable, and peaceful world.

Service Learning

Connect classroom learning with real-world experiences, empowering students to address community needs, develop empathy and leadership skills, and become engaged citizens committed to making a positive difference.

S.T.E.M (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math)

Educators will explore innovative, interdisciplinary approaches to STEM education that foster curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking while empowering students to collaborate, solve real-world problems, and develop the skills needed for a rapidly changing world.

General Education

This strand offers a broad exploration of innovative and effective teaching practices across subject areas and grade levels.
