Meet the Librarian

This is Ms. Ricter's eleventh year as a librarian and her sixteenth year as an educator. She is excited to join the WRMS community this year and see some of her former blue jays all grown up!

Ms. Ricter was raised in Austin and had the pleasure of attending Eanes ISD schools for both elementary (Valley View, Barton Creek) and middle school (Hill Country; sorry wildcats!). After graduating from high school, Ms. Ricter relocated to Pennsylvania to attend college at Bucknell University, where she majored in theatre and English. In addition to her bachelor’s degree, she has a master’s in education from Texas State University and a graduate certificate in school librarianship from Texas Woman's University.

In her free time, Ms. Ricter enjoys trying out new restaurants, going to plays and musicals, reading, crocheting, traveling, and spending time with her family. She and her husband, Brian, were thrilled to welcome their newest family member last year! Their son, Ellis, was born on November 20, 2025. They also have two cats (Marmalade and Poofbelly Theodosia), both of whom they treat like furry children.
