Absences & Late Work
Absences: Per district policy, students have one day for each day they are absent to make up missing work.
Late work: Assignments will have 5 points deducted each day they are late, with the final highest grade being a maximum of 70%. If not turned in, this will result in a "0". No late work will ever be taken after the unit is over.
Tests & Major Projects: 60%
Students should check the 7th grade testing calendar regularly. They will be given test
dates at least one week in advance.
Skill Development : 40%
Skill development will include daily grades, learning checks, and any other class work or assignments.
Retest Policy:
Seventh graders will be allowed to retest if they score 69% or lower on a major test grade. The student is required to fill out the retest contract and can score up to 70% on their retest. Students are required to retest within five days of receiving their test grade. Retesting is intended for the occasional difficulty with content mastery. When students retest on a regular basis, parents will be contacted and a study plan will be developed, if needed.
