About Me

My name is Vanessa Bañuelos and I am ready for an amazing year! This is my 4th year at Westlake and my 18th year of teaching special education! This year I will be collaborative teaching Spanish I & II, PATH 1-4. serve as an ARD facilitator and most recently coach cheer as an assistant. I will continue to work with the Special Education department as a Co-Department Chair.

I hold an M.Ed in Special Education with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis from Texas State University, Eat 'em up Cats!

I am a San Benito, Texas native but have lived in Austin for 14 years. I enjoy spending time outdoors with my husband and dog, Soldier.
