How do I/How does my student join the Westlake Speech & Debate team?
The best way to join the team is to sign up for the class during the school day. There are several Speech & Debate courses at Westlake High School: Debate I, II, & III; Oral Interpretation I, II, & III; Public Speaking I; and Independent Study in Speech. All of these courses are geared to prepare students to succeed at competitive tournaments.
If you are interested in the team, but cannot join the class at this time, it is recommended you contact Ixba (bixba@eanesisd.net) for more information, and to discuss the specifics of your situation.
