About Me

Hi!  I'm Sarah Bannon and I was born in Dayton, Ohio but moved to Wisconsin and grew up there until I went to college.  I went to Gallaudet University and earned both B.A. and M.A. degrees there.  I then moved to California where I taught both schools for the Deaf there before moving to Austin back in 2002.  I also taught at Texas School f/t Deaf here in Austin and also at the college level teaching English to Deaf students.  I have been teaching for over 25 years.  I currently teach ASL  at St. Michael's Catholic Academy in the mornings and then am here at Westlake in the afternoons.  I have two children-both in college.  I love to READ, take walks with my dog, being in the water such as SUP, kayaking, and swimming.  Looking forward to another GREAT year!  Go Chaps!
