Hi! My name is Nicole Turner, and I’m so excited to be your teacher this year. I earned my degree in Mathematics Education from Baylor University, Sic ’Em Bears! This is my fourth year teaching Algebra I here at Westlake High School, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to help students grow in their confidence, no matter their background in math.
I believe every student is capable of success with the right mindset, work ethic, and support. Our classroom is a space where students are encouraged to ask questions, learn from mistakes, and work hard - because practice makes progress. You can expect high standards, consistent structure, and built-in classroom time for individual support throughout the year.
Outside of school, I enjoy running the trail, volunteering with Westlake YoungLife, cooking healthy dishes, being plugged into our church, and spending time outdoors with my husband.
I’m looking forward to partnering with you to make this year awesome!
