About Me

Hello! My name is Janice Carrillo. I graduated from The University of the Incarnate Word with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and a double minor in Education and Special Education. 

After graduating I was a substitue teacher in my hometown, San Antonio. I taught 7th grade collab science and coached multiple sports for my first official teaching job. This will be my seventh year teaching and my 6th year at Westlake!

I have had many roles during my time here. I started as a collaborative and modified Science teacher covering Biology, Chemistry, IPC, and Physics. I also coached Volleyball and Track my first two years at Westlake. Since the 22-23 school year, I now exclusively teach our Path study skills classes. 

I am thrilled to continue my teaching career here. I look forward to all the wonderful things this year has to offer!
