School Based Therapists

Katie is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-S) in her 18th year at Westlake High School.  She is originally from Denver and spends most school holidays visiting her friends and family there. 

​Katie went to Regis University for her Bachelors in Psychology.  She studied abroad her junior year in Florence, Italy.  After college she lived in Prague for 6 months.  She went on to get her Masters of Science in Social Work at The University of Texas at Austin.  Katie has spent her career working with adolescents in residential treatment, psychiatric inpatient, juvenile probation and most recent in schools. 

Katie has supervised Masters level clinical interns for the past 16 years and is a board approved clinical supervisor for social workers working towards their LCSW. She also has a small private practice.    

Katie is happily married and has two amazing daughters, Elliot (14) and Dylan (12) and son, MJ (10).  The kids are crazy busy with sports so you can find Katie at the fields or gym cheering them on!

Brooke is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in her 9th year working in Eanes ISD and 24th year as a clinical social worker.  She came to Westlake HS from Valley View Elementary and prior to that she worked in AISD for 7 years primarily at McCallum High School.  Brooke also has many years experience in medical and psychiatric crisis social work.  

Brooke attended Towson University in Maryland for her Bachelors in Sociology and Women's Studies and graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with her Masters of Science in Social Work.  Brooke enjoys supervising graduate level social work interns to stay fresh and current in the field of social work.  Outside of work Brooke enjoys being active with her family and two dogs and cheering on and supporting her daughters in their many activities.

​Masters of Science in Social Work Intern

Valerie is a Master of Science in Social Work intern and is graduating from the University of Texas at Austin in May 2027. Valerie is originally from Houston, Texas, and attended the University of Texas at Austin for her Psychology undergraduate degree. Prior to entering graduate school, Valerie worked with children by providing after-school services and participated in a research project. She also interned at the Miracle Foundation, an organization focused on improving the foster care system. In her free time, Valerie enjoys exploring various coffee shops around Austin and cooking delicious meals.

​Masters of Science in Social Work Intern

Claire is a Master of Science in Social Work intern and will graduate from the University of Texas at Austin in May 2027. She attended the University of Kansas (Rock Chalk!) for her undergraduate degree, where she studied public relations and business. Prior to entering graduate school, Claire lived in Los Angeles, California, for eight years working in the fashion industry. She has also volunteered with the 988 Crisis Text Line and worked as a Registered Behavior Technician providing early intervention services to children with autism. In her free time, Claire enjoys exploring Austin, exercising and trying new recipes.
