About Me

Welcome to English IV.

I am David Barkley and just moved to Austin two years ago.  I am highly experienced in the field of teaching, but brand new to Westlake High School.  I moved here from Colorado Springs, CO, but I am originally from Cleveland, OH.

My wife and I are empty nesters and moved closer to my middle daughter, Emma, who is a teacher at Eanes Elementary School.

Outside of work, my time is spent reading (no surprise there), walking/hiking (when it is not too hot), and coaching volleyball.  Also - most importantly - spending time with my family.
