About Me:
Howdy! My name is Caleb Phillips, and I am very excited to be in Eanes ISD. This is my eighth year at Westlake, and my sixteenth in education, and my third as Humanities Educational Partner. I am also the faculty advisor for the WHS Student Council. I graduated from Texas A&M University in 2008 with my BA in English; additionally, I received my M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction in 2009.
Outside of school, I enjoy playing tennis, trivia, running/hiking trails with my dog, Fitz (named after author F. Scott Fitzgerald), reading, and traveling. Some of my recent excursions have taken me from the ruins in Tulum, Mexico to the beaches of La Jolla, California. I have even run with the bulls in Pamplona, Spain!
Some of my favorite books are the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling, Lord of the Flies by William Golding, Peace Like a River by Leif Enger, and Let the Great World Spin by Colum McCann.
