About Me

Welcome to English I Honors!

This is my 28th year of teaching, and 4th year at Westlake High School!

I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Education from Northwestern State University and a Master's Degree in Education from Texas A&M. I  also completed my doctoral coursework in Interdisciplinary Fine Arts at Texas Tech University.

After teaching almost every grade level, I’ve found that I truly enjoy working with freshmen. It’s such an important year, and I love encouraging their love of reading while helping them grow as writers and critical thinkers. I’m a total bookworm myself, so getting to share that passion every day is one of the best parts of my career.
