AP Calculus BC is roughly equivalent to a first and second course in single-variable calculus. We teach the course to try and prepare our students to be ready and successful to join a third semester college level calculus course.
From College Board:
We will "Explore the concepts, methods, and applications of differential and integral calculus, including topics such as parametric, polar, and vector functions, and series. You’ll perform experiments and investigations and solve problems by applying your knowledge and skills."
Something to write with. Something to write on. A graphing calculator that the student can become familiar with would be a great idea to purchase, although I will also have some available for use while in the classroom.
Westlake High School utilizes the Google Classroom platform to share classroom resources, many assignments, and assessment preparation materials to students. WHS students will receive a classroom code to access these materials, submit assignments, and track any missing work. Due to the fact that we are remote this year for the first few weeks, I will be emailing your class code. Please check your email and join the class as soon as you receive the email. This will be vital for us to get started in our remote time.
