World Geography

World Geography is a broad survey course designed to acquaint students with the world physically, politically, culturally and economically. It is presented through two lenses; the first semester will take a regional survey of topics in varying regions while the spring will focus on conceptual themes within the field of geography. Cooperative learning, spatial mapping, graphing and computer aided lessons are all utilized. Students also learn about the methods and tools geographers use in their science and practice.
