I’m proud to be a Westlake graduate, now teaching at the very school that helped shape my own love for science. After earning my bachelor's degree from Texas State University in 2007, I began my teaching career in Hays CISD and joined Westlake's physics team in 2012. Since then, I’ve taught several different physics courses and currently focus on AP Physics 1&2. I recently completed my Master’s degree in Science Education with an emphasis in Secondary Physics.
I serve as an AP Physics Reader, scoring national AP exams each summer, and have been a scoring leader for the past several years. This work has kept me closely connected to the College Board’s expectations for student success. Additionally, this is my second year serving on the College Board’s AP Physics 2 Development Committee, where I help shape the AP exam content to reflect the most current and effective practices in physics education.
As both a teacher and a parent of a Westlake student, I feel deeply invested in our school community. Outside the classroom, I enjoy traveling, trail running, and hiking with my two dogs. It’s an honor to teach at my alma mater, and I’m excited for another year connecting with our incredible students.
