Welcome to Valley View

Welcome to Valley View... home to the friendly cardinal mascot, "Big Red", and approximately 300 of his favorite kindergarten through fifth grade "peeps".

Valley View Elementary is a wonderfully inclusive school setting in the heart of Eanes ISD. From the first moment you walk in the doors, you know you have entered a caring, supportive environment. Students at Valley View are part of a fully inclusive culture where diversity is celebrated and all children and adults are viewed as unique individuals with great value and a grand purpose to enhance the world around them.

We are extremely proud and eternally grateful for the positive and supportive relationship we have with parents and the EISD community. Valley View has an engaged and extremely supportive parent Booster Club and benefits from generous donations to the Eanes Education Foundation. These two organizations provide the "stuff" and "staff" necessary to provide an exceptional educational experience for all students.

Hi, Cardinals!

I am extremely thrilled to be serving you as Valley View Elementary’s Principal. I bring over 23 years of experience in education, driven by a deep passion for public education. I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of South Carolina, and received my Master of Education degree in Educational Leadership from Stephen F. Austin University. I enjoyed 17 years of teaching in the elementary classroom before moving into a role as Instructional Coach and as an Assistant Principal.

I aim to positively impact the lives of all who enter our school doors. Our students will always be at the center of every decision we make at Valley View. Promoting inclusivity, using restorative practices, and creating a sense of community within our school are priorities at Valley View. I commit to creating a nurturing environment that is a place to grow in social and academic skills, as well as provide care and partnership when mistakes are made. I invite parents to volunteer, learn with us, and be a part of their child’s education.

If there is ever anything I can do to help you, your children or your family, please let me know. I'm here for you throughout this amazing journey in education.  Thank you for entrusting us with your precious children each day.

We unite.  We empower.  We inspireWe are Valley View!

Hello!

My name is Caroline Varner, and I’m honored to serve as the Assistant Principal at Valley View Elementary. From the moment I met the VVE team in 2020, I knew that this community of learners was something special. Valley View is a place where relationships matter and children are centered daily. I knew that Valley View was where I belonged.

I joined Valley View as a 5th grade math and science teacher, and quickly became involved in various campus and district level committees, partnering with students, staff, and parents. I then moved into the Educational Partner role, where, simply put, I helped our teachers to become even better teachers. Throughout it all, my love and commitment to Valley View has grown deeper, and I’m excited to continue serving you and this community now as Assistant Principal.

Over my 15 years of experience working with students from preschool to 5th grade, I have fallen in love with the elementary years. Not only are these years foundational for future success, but they are magical years for children as they broaden their independence, discover passions, and develop meaningful friendships. I promise to provide our students with a safe, supportive, and joyful place to learn where they will be both challenged academically and successful. I am committed to keeping students at the heart of everything we do, to empowering our faculty and staff as they serve your children, and to growing my partnership with you and the community.

Please feel free to reach out to me throughout the year. Your involvement and support are very important to me.

Together we will make this year a wonderful and joyous year!

Caroline
