Assignment: Sixth Grade Social Studies

Family: Wife, Regina (Teacher at Hudson Bend M.S.); Son: R.J. (W.H.S. 2010)

Education: Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education, University of Texas

Employment: 1986 – 1990: Del Valle High School; 1990 – Present: W.R.M.S.

Schedule: This year I am teaching six classes of Sixth Grade Social Studies.

Tutoring: Tuesday mornings at 8:00 a.m. and afternoons by appointment in my classroom.   

This year will be my 40th year teaching! I can honestly say I still enjoy interacting with students as I help guide them down the pathway to adulthood. Although I have been blessed with numerous teaching awards and accolades, I keep coming back because it is a privilege to work with such fine young people on a daily basis. (Summers aren’t bad either!) Teaching is always changing and this makes each year a new and exciting challenge.
