About Me

Welcome! I'm so glad you're here.

I’m married to my wonderfully creative husband, Ryan, whom I met in college. Together we have an amazing daughter, Melody, a spirited Cocker Spaniel named Kirby, and an orange tabby cat named Zephyr. We moved to Austin in 2016 and quickly fell in love with the community, the live music, and everything that makes this city feel like home.

I earned my bachelor's degree in Art, Psychology, and Social Work from The University of Texas at Arlington. My career in education began in 2010 at a college preparatory school in Arlington, Texas. In 2016, I was fortunate to join Eanes ISD and become part of the Westlake community.

When I'm not at school, you'll usually find me with a good book, out for a walk, practicing yoga, working on a craft project, listening to live music, or making memories with my family and friends.

I believe every student deserves to feel seen, valued, and empowered to grow. My goal is to create a classroom where curiosity is encouraged, kindness is expected, and mistakes are viewed as opportunities to learn. I hope every student leaves my classroom with greater confidence in themselves, a sense of belonging, and maybe even a lifelong love of reading.
