About Me

Hi! This is my second year at Westlake High School, and I'm excited to continue to learn about ATX and the Lonestar State.  

I grew up in Naperville, Illinois before heading South to attend and play soccer at Baylor University. After, I've spent the last ten years teaching, coaching, and having amazing adventures. 

This is my eleventh year teaching. I taught at Naperville Central High School for four years and Wheaton North High School for five years. I have experience teaching: AP Language and Composition, AP Literature and Composition, (H) Senior Rhetoric, (H) English I, World Literature, Special Topics in Literature: Mental Health and Society, Creative Writing, and English III.

I have B.S. in Education from Baylor University, a M.A. in Writing, Rhetoric and Discourse from DePaul University, a Trauma Informed Educational Practices Certificate from North Central College, and a Mediation Certificate from Center for Conflict Resolution.

The way to side track me is to discuss: soccer (really anything sports), travel, fashion, Ted Lasso, Harry Potter, good food joints, music, or hearing you geek out on anything you love is always fascinating and my favorite.
