Welcome to 1st Grade!

My name is Sara Stenke and I am so excited to be your child's teacher this school year! Over the summer I moved to Austin from Ann Arbor, Michigan and I am looking forward to be a part of the Bridge Point community and exploring everything Austin has to offer. This will be my 4th year teaching 1st grade. I attended the University of Michigan, where I pursued my elementary education degree with a focus in integrated science. I am passionate about finding creative and hands-on ways to instill a love for learning into the classroom using this focus. I love being a teacher and I’m looking forward to getting to know you and your child and watching them grow this year. I strive to make the classroom a fun, safe, and inviting place where curiosity drives our learning. First grade is such a special year filled with lots of fun and exciting learning opportunities and I am very excited about what is in store for your child this year and being a part of their journey 😊
