I love all things science and am happy to be at Westlake!
I earned my B.S. in Chemical and Petroleum Refining Engineering from Colorado School of Mines and my M.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. I have worked in R & D, manufacturing, semiconductor, and environmental. I became a high school teacher after many years of working with students through science fair, Destination Imagination, MathCounts, Girl Scouts, Mobile Loaves and Fishes, and substituting. I have taught multiple levels of chemistry and AP physics. I am happy to share my love of science with students!
When I am not teaching, my husband and I have a construction business.
We are dog lovers. Our dogs (the bottom 3) and our daughter's dog (at the top) are all rescues and have science names:
Cobalt (Cobie) - Siberian Husky
Dorothy Hodgkin (Dottie) - white with black spots mutt
Archimedes (Archie) - Carolina dog
Ketone (Keto) - Cattle dog/Great Pyrenees
