About Me

My name is Emma Slivensky and I moved to Austin about ten years ago from my hometown, Longview, TX. I studied Spanish and Education at Saint Edward's University. While in college I taught after-school Spanish enrichment classes at various elementary schools and libraries around Austin with Día de los Niños Organization. After graduation I began teaching middle school Spanish in Austin ISD and am now excited to continue on in my fourth year at Hill Country Middle School! Go Cougars!

Language learning has opened my world up to so many experiences and relationships and I am excited to share that with my students this year. I strive to make my classroom a welcoming environment where my students can explore new ideas, interests, and continue to develop their confidence in themselves and in their academic journey.
