Hello! My name is Stephanie Brock, and I am so excited to be your child’s teacher this year. I love teaching third grade because I enjoy guiding each student to become their best self, a compassionate friend, and a lifelong learner. Third graders are wonderfully independent and bring endless humor to the classroom every day. It’s incredibly rewarding to see their excitement for learning grow. I want them to understand the value of perseverance, embrace challenges, and know that mistakes are welcome as part of the learning process. I look forward to getting to know you and your child this school year. Together, we can work as a team to ensure your child has a positive and enriching third-grade experience.
I am a graduate of the University of North Texas with a Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and a minor in Elementary Education. I am certified to teach Special Education (PreK-12), Elementary Education (Grades 1-8), Early Childhood Education (PreK-Kindergarten), and ESL.
This year marks my 28th year of teaching. I spent 27 years at Valley View Elementary, starting with two years in special education before moving to third grade, where I have been ever since. I have loved being part of the Valley View family for the past 27 years because of the wonderful team I work with and the meaningful relationships I build with my students and their families each year. I feel very fortunate to teach in Eanes ISD, a district I’ve been connected to since I was a student at Valley View in second and third grade. I continued my education in Eanes ISD through fourth grade at Cedar Creek. Although my family left Texas for three years, we missed it so much that we chose to return to the Lake Travis area. I graduated from Lake Travis High School before attending the University of North Texas.
The most important person in my life is my son, Anthony. I have been fortunate that he also attended Eanes ISD, starting in the Child Development Center at Valley View when he was just three months old. He continued as a Valley View Cardinal from Kindergarten through fifth grade, then was a Wildcat at WRMS for grades six through eight, and finally a Chap at WHS for grades nine through twelve. He is now twenty-three years old.
I am looking forward to an amazing school year!
