Hi there! My name is Sarah Hurst and I am so excited for the 2025-2026 school year! 

I am originally from Baltimore, Maryland and attended college at Coastal Carolina University in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina where I received my BA in Early Childhood Education in 2017. I then moved to San Antonio, Texas where my parents live, but I fell in love with Austin and had to move here. I've been here since 2018 and have loved it since! 

I have been at Forest Trail going on eight years now, teaching first, second, and third grade! I am so fortunate to be apart of this incredible community. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, reading, being outdoors, exercising, spending time with my dog, Leia, and trying out all the yummy food Austin has to offer. I recently got married on June 7th, 2025 to my husband Hunter and we just bought a house in East Austin where we are spending lots of time decorating and making the space ours! 

I am so excited to meet my new studuents and their families and for us to build a community and have a blast learning and growing together!
