My name is Rosa Flanders, and I’m honored to begin my 20th year in education and my fifth year at Bridge Point Elementary. I was born and raised in Monterrey, N.L., Mexico, where I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Music Performance. I continued my studies at Emporia State University and hold multiple teaching certifications, including General Education, Bilingual Education, Spanish Language, and Music Education.
My husband and I have two wonderful children—Nina, who is entering her senior year at Westlake High School and is a dedicated member of the Chap Band, and Billy, a proud BPE graduate starting 7th grade at Hill Country Middle School and playing his first season of football.
Outside the classroom, I enjoy traveling, music, and spending quality time with my family—and our very charming cat, Kit Kat. Teaching has always been my passion, and I feel incredibly grateful to be part of such an outstanding and supportive community here at BPE.
