My name is Rosa Flanders, and I’m honored to begin my 21st year in education and my sixth year with Eanes ISD. I was born and raised in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico, where I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Music Performance. I continued my studies at Emporia State University and hold multiple teaching certifications, including General Education, Bilingual Education, Spanish Language, and Music Education.
My husband and I have two wonderful children. Our daughter, Nina, recently graduated from Westlake High School, where she was a proud member of the Chap Band, and she is excited to begin studying Biochemistry at the University of California, San Diego (UC San Diego). Our son, Billy, is starting 8th grade at Hill Country Middle School and is looking forward to another football season.
Outside the classroom, I enjoy traveling, music, and spending quality time with my family—and our very charming cat, Kit Kat.
After spending the past five wonderful years at Bridge Point Elementary, I am incredibly excited to join the Forest Trail Elementary family as a first-grade teacher. Teaching has always been my passion, and I feel truly grateful for the opportunity to work alongside such an outstanding school community. I can't wait to meet my students and families and begin an amazing year of learning together!
