Course Overview

Modified ELA course is designed to help students master essential supporting and readiness standards in reading and writing. Students will be instructed in concepts such as comprehending a wide variety of genres, analyzing literary elements, writing for a variety of audiences, drafting, writing and editing process, and independent reading.

Students need to bring the following materials to class daily:  a fully charged iPad, earbuds, an independent reading book, pencils/pens/highlighters, a pocket folder, and a notebook/composition book.
