Hello! My name is Mrs. Natasha Turner, and I’m so excited to be your ELA teacher!
From early on, I discovered a deep passion for inspiring young minds, nurturing creativity, and helping students grow into confident, life-long learners. Every day in the classroom is an opportunity to build a positive, engaging space where students feel supported and challenged.
I earned my Bachelor’s degrees in English Literature and Middle Eastern Studies from the University of Texas at Austin (Hook 'Em) in 2019. My journey in education began while I was still in college—tutoring students in Arabic, working as a teaching assistant, and supporting at-risk refugee students at a local Austin high school.
Since 2021, I’ve been teaching middle school English language arts, with experience in both 7th and 8th grade. I’ve also had the privilege of serving as an ELA department chair and instructional coach, where I supported fellow teachers and helped guide curriculum and instruction. Last year, I joined the amazing team at West Ridge Middle School, and I already feel incredibly grateful to be part of the Eanes ISD community!
A little about me: I was born in Houston and grew up moving between Texas, Oklahoma, and Ohio. Outside of school, I love making music, reading science fiction, baking creative cakes, playing video games, and traveling. Most of all, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our close friends.
I’m looking forward to a fantastic year of learning, growth, and connection with you and your child!
