About Me

Hi!

I am excited to be your child's 8th-grade Collaborative Science and U.S. History teacher this year.

I was born and raised in France but have called Westlake home for many years. My husband and I raised our four children in this incredible community. Our oldest is 27 and currently working in the Netherlands, while our youngest is attending Mays Business School at Texas A&M. Having experienced Eanes ISD as a parent for so many years, I feel deeply connected to our schools, and it is a privilege to now serve our students at WRMS.

My path to education was a bit unconventional. I come from a business background and owned my own company until I sold it in 2011. Afterward, I began volunteering and substitute teaching in our local schools, which quickly became a passion. When COVID hit, I felt called to serve in a more direct and lasting way, and I have been teaching full-time ever since.

I believe in balancing high expectations with meaningful support. Middle school is a time when students can learn valuable lessons from their successes as well as their mistakes, and those experiences help prepare them for high school and beyond. My goal is to help each student take ownership of their learning while developing the independence, executive functioning, and self-advocacy skills they will need throughout their lives. I also believe that a strong partnership between home and school is essential, and I look forward to working closely with families to support each student's growth.
