About Me

Hi!

I am excited to be your child’s 8th grade Collaborative Science and U.S. History teacher this year.

I was born and raised in France but have lived in Westlake for many years. I have raised my four children in this incredible community. My oldest is nearly 26, and my youngest is a Senior at Westlake High School. I feel deeply connected to our schools, and it is a privilege to now be teaching her at WRMS.

My path to education was a bit unconventional. I come from a business background and ran my own company until selling it in 2011. Afterward, I began volunteering and substitute teaching in our local schools, which quickly became a passion. When COVID hit, I felt called to serve in a more direct and lasting way, and I have been a full-time teacher ever since.

I believe in natural consequences and holding students accountable while supporting their growth. 8th grade is the last year where students can make mistakes with little consequences. Please, let them! My goal is to help each student take ownership of their education and build the independence, executive functioning, and social-emotional skills that will serve them both in and beyond the classroom. I am committed to working closely with families to support our students every step of the way.
