Section 504 is a federal law that ensures all students, including those with disabilities, have equal access to education. It requires schools to provide supports and accommodations to help students with physical or mental impairments succeed in the classroom. Accommodations are carefully considered according to the disability and using parent and teacher feedback, as well as recommendations may be campus support specialists, if applicable.
The campus 504 Coordinator works with a team of teachers and specialists to evaluation a students eligibility for Section 504.
