About Me

Welcome to 7th grade ELA! I am very excited for this school year with you.

I am originally from Granbury, TX, a small town in the DFW area. I moved to San Marcos to attend Texas State University where I was awarded my BA in English in 2014. After working some unfulfilling jobs, I returned to Texas State and obtained my Master's in Secondary Education in 2018. I now absolutely love what I do!

I live here in Austin with my dog, Pig, and my cats, Toast and Beans. (You will see many pictures of the three of them!)

To explain the picture on the left: before I was an official teacher, I worked as a recreation instructor for a park in New Braunfels. I LOVE all things outdoors! When I'm not grading essays, I'm out hiking, kayaking, or laying in my hammock with a book.

This is my third and a half year at WRMS (I student taught here), and I cannot wait to learn and laugh with you all.
