About Me

My name is Mrs. Rocha and I teach in the CTE Health Sciences Department.  I have two undergraduate degrees: one in Exercise & Sports Science and the other in Nutrition & Foods. My graduate degree is in Kinesiology and a specialty certification from the International Olympic Committee in Sports Nutrition. I have been working in the Health Science field since I was 16 since I attended a medical high school in South Texas. I am beyond excited to offer the same opportunity to our students here at Westlake and cannot wait to watch them learn and grow on their journey to a medical career.

On the weekends I like to spend time with my family, which includes my husband and seven kiddos, three son-in-laws and a grandbaby on the way. We like to run and bike as a family and go on family walks, cook and bake together and play golf, tennis and swim.  I coach my daughter’s volleyball club team and attend my sons' basketball and soccer games when they play.

This is my 19th year teaching at the University and 3rd year teaching at Westlake. I am the assistant coach for our Swim & Dive program and I am starting a new role as the Assistant Tennis Coach this year. My Eanes career began as a lunch monitor/substitute for all grades at Eanes (and our church preschool) and now I am here permanently and loving it. I am grateful for the opportunity to teach our students and learn from them too. Go Chaps!
