Originally from Canton, Ohio but most of my entire adult life has been lived in Colorado. Transplanted to Austin in 2018.
Graduated from the University of Vermont in Science and attend the University of Northern Colorado for my Masters.
Married to Dennis Johnston for the past 24 years ( together for 30!!). Mr. Johnston is a Hardware Engineer and designs some pretty cool things!
Teaching for 16+ years mostly in Colorado in 5th grade, but I am so excited to be in 4th grade this year!
This is my second year at FTE and I love everything about 4th grade and our school!
We are Colorado Buffalos!! Go Buffs!!
2 sons:
Dylan (University of Colorado @ Boulder and is my adventurer as he went to the fire academy in California, became a surfer, and now in Tech Securities at Berkley)
Jake (Johnson & Wales University and is the sweetest human on the planet, seriously!)
Both were born and raised in Colorado! They are true mountain boys!
Fur babies:
Marco (9 years old and loves to take long walks) and Polo ( 7 years old and scared of his own tail!)
They are the best of friends!

I love to travel and garden. Running is a daily in my life and I practice yoga. Skiing is a major passion of mine and my family. You can always find us in the trees! I love to read fiction and all wellness books I can get my hands on!! My favorite juice is celery!!Ha... ask last year's class... they will tell you so!
Die hard Ohio State Buckeye fan!
Learning to surf! It is a very challenging but rewarding sport!
I cannot wait to find out all about you!! We will build a wonderful 4th grade community!!
