Hello! My name is Heather Ibarra, and I'm thrilled to be your child’s 2nd-grade teacher this year. This marks my second year at Barton Creek Elementary and my ninth year in education. Before joining BCE, I taught 1st, 3rd, and 4th grade at Lake Travis ISD.

Originally from South Texas, I have been fortunate to call Austin my home for the past 16 years. My wonderful family includes my husband, Emanuel, our spunky 9-year-old daughter, Violet, who will be starting 4th grade at BCE, and the sweetest twin boys, Joaquin and Leon.

We love traveling, hiking, discovering new food spots, and visiting theme parks!

 I'm excited about this new adventure and look forward to a fantastic year with your child!
