This is my 31st year as a speech-language pathologist, 25 of those years have been spent in the public school setting at the secondary level. I am blessed to be starting my 21st year here in Eanes ISD. Every year provides great growth for me as a speech pathologist and as a person. I have to say the Spring and the start of this school year has been like no other. I look forward to what celebrations and additional challenges the 20-21 school year brings.

Anyone who knows me, knows that my family is one of the things that brings me the most joy in my life. I have two children who graduated from Westlake High School, both who received amazing support and guidance throughout their years in Eanes. My son is an EMT for ATCEMS and my daughter will be transferring to Texas State to continue her path in recreational therapy, getting one step closer on her path to become an occupational therapist. We also have 2 dogs and 2 cats that love walks, treats, and thinking that I am there to wait on them!

Working with children on their speech and language skills is truly one of my greatest passions. Being even a small part of a child being able to make their basic needs known, being able to help a child speak with confidence, being able to help a child understand the importance of and use appropriate conversational skills, being able to teach a child about using their voice in appropriate ways, or helping a child simply say, "I don't want to" or "I like it" brings so much joy to me. Even better, helping a child find their "voice", whether it be a communication system, signs/gestures, clear articulation, more fluent speech, etc... and then watching the joy in their face as they begin to use it! WOW, it is a blessing to be a part of their journey.

I look forward to walking this communication journey with each of my students, their families, and their teachers.
