Honors 8th Grade Math

8th grade math is pre-algebra content. This course is the foundation before students begin studying higher level maths-  the students will study classifying numbers, ordering numbers, solving for variables on both sides of an equation or inequality, volume and surface area of objects, angle relationships, slope, transformations, Pythagorean theorem, mean absolute deviation, simple vs. compound interest and postsecondary education cost analysis. These skills prepare the kids for Algebra I next year.
