My name is Brittaney Morrison and I am teaching 7th grade English Language Arts. This will be my 26th year as an educator and my 10th year teaching at Hill Country. But the sugar on top is that I am a proud former Cougar and Westlake graduate (class of '94, if you must know).
I received my Bachelor of Science degree from Howard Payne University in Brownwood, Texas in 1998 and my Masters of Education from Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas in 1999. My prior teaching experience comes from Austin ISD: seven years at Porter Middle School and eight years at the Young Men's Leadership Academy at Garcia Middle School.
I have been married for 20 years to my best friend, Larry. He is also a teacher, as well as a coach and athletic director. We have three children: Abigaile (a freshman at Texas A&M), McKinsey (a junior at WHS), and Lincoln (a freshman at WHS), whom without question, give us laugh after laugh and never give us a boring day. We have a family zoo of dogs, cats, turtles, rabbits, fish, and chickens that adds to our craziness at our home in Georgetown.Â
I love the world of education and everything that it brings. I enjoy working with young minds and helping them understand their potential. My goal each day is to be the teacher I wish my own children to have. I teach with passion and enthusiasm and can't wait to see what these great 7th grade minds have to share with the world.
