About Me

Hello!

I am so excited to be working with your fabulous children this year! This will be my 29th year teaching and my fifth year at Forest Trail Elementary.

I was born and raised in the west Texas area. I've been married to my husband Chris for 28 years. I have two wonderful daughters. Charlie (21) is a Junior at the University of North Texas and Andie (18) is a freshman at Angelo State University. Chris and I are now empty nesters!

I have lived in Austin for 31 years. Before that, I attended Sam Houston State University. I started my pubic teaching career in Eanes ISD (Valley View Elementary). In my long teaching career I have also taught in Dripping Springs ISD and Austin ISD. I love being a collaborative teacher and supporting students who have learning differences. I'm looking forward to wonderful school year in 2nd grade!
