Linda Hargis

Hello! My name is Linda Hargis, and I’m excited to continue my role as an Interventionist at Barton Creek Elementary, where I serve as a reading intervention teacher and Wilson Reading dyslexia therapist. This is my 17th year in the district and my second year at BCE. I’m especially grateful to be working in my neighborhood school—the same school my own kids attended.  :)

This is my second year at BCE in this role. I also spent four years at Cedar Creek Elementary as an Interventionist. I began my career at Valley View Elementary, where I taught 4th grade for 10 years and reading intervention for one year. The best part of my job is working with small groups of students across all grade levels and getting to witness their reading skills and confidence grow!

Outside of school, I’ve been married to my husband, Dave, for 37 years. We are proud parents of three wonderful adult kids and the best son-in-law. Our 2 and 4-year-old grandsons are the light of our lives and bring so much joy to our family! Sally is our very loved golden retriever and also a therapy dog. She has spent many hours bringing smiles to others, along with her family! Spending time with family and friends, being outdoors, volunteering in the community, traveling, and cooking are some of my favorite ways to spend time.
