About Me

I am so happy to be back in another WHS school year! This is my 25th year teaching English and my 19th year as an English teacher at WHS. My first teaching job was at Austin High School where I was an English Special Education teacher and the head cheer coach. I then came to Westlake High School and I am an  Assistant Cheer Coach. In the picture to the left, I am the blonde in the lower middle. This was from our State Championship Game in Dallas!

I have an amazing dog named Monty Python Leifeste. He keeps me busy outside of school! 

I grew up in the Westlake community! I attended Valley View, Cedar Creek, Forest Trail, West Ridge Middle School, and Westlake High School. I have some amazing and fond memories from the years. My family still lives in the community.

Following Westlake High School, I attended ACC, The University of Texas for my undergrad, and Texas State University for my graduate work.
