Every child deserves a champion, an adult who will never give up on them, who understands the power of connection, and insists that they become the best that they can possibly be. - Rita Pierson
Hello! My name is Lisa Bost, and I am a Campus Support Specialist at Barton Creek Elementary. I feel so fortunate to spend my days working with students in small groups to support their learning—it’s one of the greatest joys of my career.
I graduated from Texas Christian University with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and later earned my Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a specialization in Reading from Texas State University. I am certified to teach grades K–6, ESL, and have completed training in the Wilson Reading System to enhance my reading instruction toolbox and support students with dyslexia. I truly love books and everything about teaching reading!
My teaching journey began in 2nd grade at Valley View Elementary, where I taught from 1989 to 1994. After stepping away from the classroom to raise my three children, I returned to Valley View in 2012 as a Campus Support Specialist. I am looking forward to getting to know the Barton Creek community with the new blended school.
I’m married to my wonderful husband, Phillip, for 34 years, and we have three grown children—Abby, Tyler, and Carter—who all attended school in Eanes and graduated from Westlake High School. Our family is proud to be part of this incredible community, and we know firsthand what a special place Eanes ISD is for kids.
Outside of school, I enjoy reading, college football, playing games with my family, and traveling to the beach. Fun fact: I grew up in Eanes and was the Westlake Chaparral mascot during my senior year of high school!
I invite you to stop by Room 202 anytime—I’d love to say hello. Here’s to a great year ahead!
