About Me

Hi! I am so excited to teach this year's group of 7th graders. I have taught science from 6th - IPC for the last 16 years.

I graduated from Smithson Valley HS and then continued on to Texas A&M to graduate with a BS in genetics. Once my husband and I started our family I went back to school to get my teaching certificate from Texas State. From there I went to Lamar University for my masters in education administration.

My husband and I moved to Austin in 1997 after college. We have four grown children, three boys and a girl. They have all flown the coop and are living their best lives in other states (Kentucky,Michigan, Ohio, and  Pennsylvania). We have three grandchildren, two boys and a girl with another one on the way.

In our free time we enjoy spending time outside, country music and dancing, and playing board games.
