My name is Julie Walker and I am excited for the 2025-26 school year at Westlake HS! This marks my nineteenth year as an educator and first year at Westlake HS. My previous schools include Brentwood Christian School, Stony Point HS, Vandegrift HS, and Southwestern University. Throughout my career in education I have experience teaching Economics, U.S. Government, Academic & Career Excellence (ACE), Speech, and Health. In addtion to my teaching experience, I have also served in athletics as an athletic director, basketball, track, and softball coach. At Westlake HS I will be teaching both Sociology and Personal Finance and will be the varsity assistant for girls basketball and an assistant for girls track & field. I hold a master of science degree in Community & Regional Planning from the University of Texas - Austin (2006) and a bachelor of arts degree in Economics & Management and Sociology from Beloit College in Beloit, Wisconsin (2002). I was a three sport athlete during my time at Beloit College (Soccer, Basketball, & Track) and will be inducted into the college's athletic hall of honor this fall. I am looking forward to serving the Westlake community and getting to know the students and athletes I will be working with.
