Hi! 

My name is Jennifer Hernandez, and I will be teaching music at Forest Trail and Eanes Elementary. I’m originally from Houston but moved to Austin a few years ago with my family, and I’m excited to begin my teaching journey here in Austin!

I am a recent graduate of Baylor University, where I studied Choral Music Education and minored in Entrepreneurship. During my time at Baylor, I served as a teaching assistant in Midway ISD and helped lead our after-school music class for students with exceptionalities, Oso Musical. During my clinical teaching semester, I taught in Eanes ISD at Forest Trail Elementary and Hill Country Middle School. I’m so excited to begin my first year of teaching at FTE and EE!

In my free time, I love to spend time with my family and friends, explore Austin coffee shops, attend concerts, run, and spend time outdoors. I can’t wait to make music at FTE and EE this year!
