Welcome to First Grade!

My name is Jordan Dunagan and I am thrilled to be your child's teacher! This will be my 17th year teaching. Before coming to Eanes I taught kindergarten and first grade in Leander ISD. I was born and raised in Texas and lived in San Antonio and Sugar Land before coming to college at the University of Texas at Austin. I graduated with my masters from the University of Texas at Austin as well. My husband, Jacob, is also a teacher and works at Mills Elementary School. In our spare time we love to travel any chance we can, work on our house, attend sporting events (Go Longhorns and Astros!) and enjoy all that Austin has to offer! We have a very active and full of life girl named Gray and a busy boy named Hux.

My goal for your child this year is to succeed socially and academically learning how to become a life long learner, effective communicator and team player all while having fun! Throughout the year we will discover the 7 Habits of Highly Effective Kids together and how they applies to our daily life.
