Hi! My name is Jordyn Caruso and I am so excited to be teaching 3rd Grade at Eanes Elementary! This is my sixth year in education, and after five wonderful years teaching Kindergarten Spanish Immersion, I’m thrilled to bring my experience and enthusiasm to third grade.
While I’ll always have a special place in my heart for the littlest learners, I’m really looking forward to guiding older students as they grow into more independent thinkers and problem-solvers. I love building a classroom where learning is fun, students feel confident taking risks, and every day brings something new to explore.
I was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, and come from a family of educators with my mom teaching for 29 years and my grandmother serving as a principal for 19 years.
I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in May 2020 with a degree in Applied Learning and Development, specializing in Early Childhood through 6th Grade Bilingual Generalist education. During my time at UT, I taught in both One-Way and Two-Way Dual Language classrooms, gaining experience with native Spanish and English speakers alike.
Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, heading home to Horseshoe Bay to relax by the lake, and staying active through running, walking, or playing golf. I’m also a proud Texas Tri Delta alumna, where I served as the Event Coordinator and Secretary of my chapter.
I can't wait for an amazing year in 3rd grade! Hook 'em Horns!
