About Me

Hello! I am excited to spend the year with you!  I love teaching math and feel so lucky to join the staff here at West Ridge!

I grew up in the small town of Columbus, Texas and moved to Austin to attend UT where I received my education degree. Later, I graduated from Texas State University with my master's degree. I have taught many grades, but spent the most time teaching 5th grade at Forest Trail Elementary for the last 21 years. My husband, Pablo, and I have two sons - Liam will be a junior and Nico will be a freshman, both at Westlake High School. Our family loves to travel, and I also like to read, garden, sew, hike, and bake.
