About Me

I was born in Massachusetts, but grew up in New York and Texas. In 2006, I graduated from Texas A&M with a bachelors degree in interdisciplinary studies with a focus on 4-8 language arts and social studies.  (Don't worry though - my husband is a University of Texas alumni, so I still support the Longhorns, too.  He also got his masters from Georgia Tech -- Go Jackets!)  I then moved out to Atlanta, GA where I begin teaching.

I am a marathon runner and a hiker.  I ran my first full marathon in 2020, and I hope to run my next one in 2025.  I've been running multiple half-marathons though in the meantime!  I love watching football, and my favorite NFL team is the New York Giants.  I also love traveling, and have been to over 30+ countries so far!  Most recently I traveled the U.S.A. in a RV full-time for all of 2021!  Lastly, I just moved to Austin, Texas and am glad to be back in this great state once again!
