About Me

Jesse Troublefield

Although it's my first year as a teacher for Westlake High School, returning to Westlake brings my career full circle. I began my career in education at Westlake as a Teacher's Aide, quickly moving up to the position of teaching Behavior Support for Hill Country Middle School. Over those years, I've enjoyed working with students who possess a wide variety of abilities and skill sets - and in a variety of settings. I continue to coach for Special Olympics, I've supported adults with needs on adventures, and I look forward to continuing to support our community to live life to the fullest!

Prior to my career in education, I graduated from Texas State University with a degree in International Studies and stepped immediately into social-entrepreneurship. I've worked for three start-ups, having co-founded two of them, as well as volunteered as a Digital Marketing Consultant for World Rainforest Day. No matter the focus, or career choice, what drew me to each was my drive and passion to make tangible, lasting impacts in my community.

When I'm not devoting myself to my work, I truly enjoy a wide variety of subjects and hobbies, which generally revolve around my love of food, travel, and world cultures. As of late, I've grown particular found of working with my hands-on hobbies like carpentry and BBQ'ing. But my life-long love has continued to be, and always will be, playing music.
